Huawei has issued a new round of updates for the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 and P20 Pro. The new build, called EMUI 10.0.0.180, seeks to deliver system improvements for the four devices as they near the end of software support.
The Huawei Mate 10 and P20 series have received a new round of updates, following the release of the July 2020 set of security patches last month. The Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 and P20 Pro are the only devices of those series that will receive the new updates, as Huawei tends not to offer as extensive software support for its Lite models.
Huawei has called the new update EMUI 10.0.0.180, which upgrades the four devices from EMUI 10.0.0.175 or EMUI 10.0.0.176. According to Huawei Central, the new build ‘optimises system stability in situations to make your phone run smoother’, a claim that is wonderfully vague and immeasurable.
EMUI 10.0.180 does not contain a new set of security patches either, despite the August and September ones being available. Additionally, Huawei is rolling out EMUI 10.0.0.180 for the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 and P20 Pro in China first. The update may reach devices globally, but it could be a few weeks before that happens.
